But I think what surprised me is that Sarah Palin is very trim, and fit... so why even approach the issue of weight?  I think that&#039;s unique to women... men can get away with a bit more &quot;margin&quot; at the waist line. ;)  Thanks again for the note!</description>

		<description>Nicely written.  BTW, in 1992 Bill Clinton&#039;s campaign team was constantly on him about his ever-expanding waistline. And Ronald Reagan&#039;s political advisers had to delicately beg Regan to stop wearing jodhpurs when horseback riding. 

So, yes, men do get beaten on regarding their weight and appearance.  As much as women?  Probably not, but it does happen.</description>
