Welcome Back, Mr. Jobs

Welcome Back, Mr. Jobs

Nothing delights me as a public presence coach more than watching Steve Jobs “do his thing” on stage. In his first public appearance since undergoing his liver transplant surgery, he unveiled the new iPod Nano, and did not disappoint. While I would love to wax poetic about the new features (pedometer, video camera and more), I want to focus on the slides he showed. In typical Apple fashion, his slides are an exercise in restraint, simplicity, leaving a powerful mark on the viewer’s memory.

When he unveiled the video camera functionality, he didn’t go into the market size of this industry. He didn’t bore us with unnecessary technical details. He simply showed the tiny camera lens on the back, and then asked, “How good is it? Turns out it’s great.” And then he shows a fun, brief, visually stunning little clip called “Threesie on Threesie.”

If you haven’t seen it, check out the clip.

Enjoy.
